Apostle Teresa B. Hicks, affirmed an Apostle in the Lord’s church in 2014 by Bishop Ralph Dennis & the Kingdom Covenant Fellowship Ministries, accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her savior at the age of 14 while attending the Mother Church of God in Christ, Wilmington Delaware. While in this ministry, she accepted the call to the ministry at the age of 21.
Apostle Hicks served faithfully under various ministries until the Lord gave instructions to establish The Tabernacle Shalom Worship Center in Claymont Delaware. These ministries included the New Community Church of God and the Cathedral of Fresh Fire Church.
While at the Cathedral of Fresh Fire, she was ordained an Elder. She served as a Ruling Elder, an instructor in the bible school, administrative assistant to the Youth Pastor, and established the children’s church ministry.
In January of 2004, Apostle Hicks accepted the position of Assistant Pastor of the New Community Church of God, under the pastorate of Reverend Dr. Edward Cross, Sr. Her goal was to assist Reverend Cross in building a people of God by giving them the tools necessary to achieve greatness in their service to our Great God. In May of 2005 Apostle Hicks was honored at the Markevic Johnson Scholarship Banquet as a Women of Distinction for her work in the religious community. Apostle Hicks was featured on the cover of Fresh Oil Magazine for their October 2017 edition. She was also featured in the Great Achievers Voice Magazine in Valencia Spain. Apostle Hicks received the Excellence in Leadership award at the Eagle Excellence Awards Ceremony in Blackwood, NJ.
Apostle Hicks has designed and facilitated various training seminars to assist the servants of God in the advancement of the Kingdom of God. She has served as a mentor to countless individuals both inside and outside the Christian Community. She believes her goal in life is to be that ‘city of refuge’ where the weary traveler may come and find solace. Apostle Hicks has served as a volunteer and staff chaplain for Christiana Care and has conducted bible studies at various high-rise locations for seniors. She also served as an Administrative Assistant for the Inter-denominational Ministers Action Council (IMAC) of Delaware.
Following the divine plan of God, In October 2007, Apostle Hicks became the Pastor and Founder of The Tabernacle Shalom Worship Center, Inc.
Apostle Hicks is the presiding Apostle for The Greater Assemblies Alliance Fellowship of Churches and the president of Teresa Hicks Ministries, Inc. She is on the Executive Board for the United Nations Council of Churches & Joint College of Apostles & Bishops USA/Spain/Africa, serving as the International Administrator. She has also ministered in various churches in Nigeria, West Africa.
Apostle Hicks received an Associates of Arts in Biblical Studies and a Bachelor of Science in Urban Ministry Leadership from Geneva College’s Center for Urban Theological Studies. Apostle Hicks received an Honorary Doctorate of Philosophy in Christian Business Management from Great Achievers College & Seminary in Valencia Spain.
On October 20, 2018 Apostle Hicks was consecrated as a Bishop in the Lord’s Church.
Bishop Hicks is married to Norris Hicks and has 4 grandchildren.
